Saqifah Banī Sā‘idah (سقيفة بني ساعدة) (Mad_01)

<p>Located at the west side of Masjid al-Nabawi, this was the community hall of the Banū Sā&lsquo;idah clan of Khazraj, used for tribal decision-making. The Prophet Muhammad (<span dir="RTL">ﷺ</span>) visited and prayed there. After his passing, the companions gathered at this Saqīfah, wher<strong>e&nbsp;</strong><strong>Abu Bakr (r.a.) was chosen as the first Caliph, making it the first political gathering place in Islamic history.</strong></p>
