Maqbara al-Shubaikah, Makkah (مقبرة الشبيكة) (Mak_04)

Harat al-Shubaikah is a historic cemetery in Makkah, known for being the resting place of several Companions after the Conquest. It is where Sayyeda Sumayya (r.a.), the first martyr of Islam, was martyred by Abu Jahl. The site also reflects the abolished pre-Islamic practice of burying daughters alive. Khalid bin Walid (r.a.) entered Makkah through this route during the Conquest.
